Featured this month.
Silverado is a new guy in town. He adopted a lovely family in Brewster and was living on their porch for a couple of weeks. They were doing their best to care for him outside but it was clear that he was social and wanted to come inside. He is with us now - tested neg for deadly diseases, was altered, had initial immunizations and is microchipped.

Sonny
This is Sonny. He was found "dazed" and hungry looking for food in Mahopac. Our rescuers brought him to me for evaluation of his needs. Now he is healthy, up to date on everything, neutered, and microchipped. He went to his new foster home today where he will learn to be a loving member of a family of adults, grandchildren, other cats and a very large gentle dog. He is a wonderful Maine Coon mix orange guy.
Does he get along with dogs?
Silverado was recued by friends in Brewster. He wandered into thier yard hungry and very lonely. He begged food and wanted so very much to go inside. We picked him up and placed him with a great foster family. He is a young adult, very affectionate, healthy and up to date on everything. The question is: Does he get along with dogs?

Nothing Was Done
For about 6 months now a friend of PF, who is not a volunteer of ours, has been finding along Oscawana Hts Rd, young black and white cats who all look to be related to each other. She has been taking them in and asking us for help. They were hungry and sick when she found them and we helped her get medical care and in some cases took the cats as fosters and found them terrific homes. She finally was able to pinpoint the house responsible for all of these sick unaltered animals and called in humane law enforcement. Guess what? "Nothing can be done about it." The suffering goes on.
